Afghan Finance Minister met with Head of Customs Administration of People's Republic of China- Signing a protocol on export of Afghan Pine Nuts to China Market

June 11, 2018: H.E. Eklil Hakimi, Minister of Finance, on the sidelines of eighteenth session of Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Qingdao, met with H.E Nai Yufang, Head of customs administration of the People's Republic of China.

In this meeting, both sides discussed the export of Afghan quality pine nut products to Chinese markets, trade facilitation between the two countries, sustainable employment, positive impact of economic exchanges on revenue growth, simplification of customs processes and procedures and the exchange of customs data through practical implementation, bilateral customs agreement that was signed in May 2016 between the two countries, and other related issues.

The Customs Cooperation Agreement has also been signed by H.E Janan Musa Zai, Ambassador of Afghanistan to China and H.E Nai Yufeng, Head of customs Administration of the People's Republic of China. Both sides stressed implementation of the agreement and call it a positive step in the trade facilitation between the two countries.
