The outcomes of 21st Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB) Meeting Announced

July 19, 2018: H.E. Dr. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Chief Adviser on Infrastructure and Technology to the President of Afghanistan and Acting Minister of Finance and Mr. Tadamichi Yamamoto, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, announced the outcomes of 21st Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board (JCMB) Meeting Toward The Geneva Conference on Afghanistan 2018 at Presidential Palace  where H.E. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, President of Afghanistan , H.E, Bibi Gul Rula Ghani, the First Lady of country, Cabinet Members, Ambassador and representatives of 29 countries were present.
Yesterday, at 21st JCMB Meeting, progress, development achievements of Afghanistan and implementation of government's reform agenda in line with Afghanistan National Peace and Development (ANPDF) and Self-Reliance through Mutual Accountability Frameworks were discussed
" We fully discussed on  effectiveness of aid , reform of macro-economic, development of private sector,  cooperation of regional partners, justice and fight against corruption, reform of security sector, national priority programs  and registration of authorities' assets with ambassadors and representative of donor countries yesterday" said Dr. Qayoumi in today's press conference.
" 70% increase  in revenue, implementation of modern systems in revenue sources, investment on mines, , strengthening agriculture sector in the country, preparation of FY-1397 national budget in consideration with development priorities and existing facts of Afghanistan, regional connectivity for the development of Afghan trade and the development of collaborative models were also addressed in the meeting" he added.
 "Fortunately, most of our commitments have been met, the rest would be implemented at the time scheduled (Geneva Conference this autumn)" Minister of Finance stated.
"The twenty-first Joint Coordination and Monitoring Board Meeting is a start to the Geneva Conference.  We saw the progress and achievements of Afghanistan in the areas development and reform in accordance with the National peace and development framework. In Geneva Conference scheduled for November this year, the international community will continue to provide strong and sustained support to Afghanistan in development and security sectors" said Mr. Tadamichi Yamamoto, UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan.
