Afghan Customs Department, Ministry of Finance, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Second Customs Reform and Trade Facilitation Project and it intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the procurement of goods (generators) for Afghan Customs Department. The United Nations Office for Project Services now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the procurement of generators for Afghan Customs Department (Bid No. : SCRTFP/IDA/G/ICB/2). The delivery period is 90 days

Bidding will be conducted through the international competitive bidding procedure as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits, (current edition), and is open to all eligible bidders  as defined in the guidelines.

Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents from the United Nations Office for Project Services at the address below mentioned, during office hours 9.00 hours to 16,30 hours. A complete set of bidding documents in English in PDF soft copy may be received free of charge, by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the address. The document will be sent by e mail. Bidders are requested to specify the valid contact e mail address in their return request.

All bids must be accompanied by bid securing declaration or by bid security of

  1. AFN 125,000  or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency for lot I;
  2. AFN 150,000  or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency for lot II

 and be delivered to the address below by 10.00 am on 5th of February 2013. They will be opened immediately thereafter, in the presence of bidders’ representatives, who choose to attend, at the address below. Late bids will be rejected.
