About Ministry of Finance:

Directorate of Information Communication Technology at Ministry of Finance mainly focusing in the area providing data and voice services for MoF operations using highly-equipped data center, unified transmission system, and interconnected links via fiber and microwaves. Directorate of ICT is providing reliable and secure platform for overall data and voice connectivity and access to MoF core application services in MoF HQs and sites.

 

Job Description:

The Senior Hardware Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining the hardware infrastructure within the Directorate of ICT at the Ministry of Finance. This role requires expertise in troubleshooting and repairing a wide range of hardware, including PCs, all-in-one PCs, laptops, copiers, and printers.

 

Job Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair hardware issues for PCs, all-in-one PCs, laptops, copiers, printers, and other IT equipment.

Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on hardware to ensure optimal performance.

Install and configure new hardware components and systems.

Maintain an inventory of all hardware and manage hardware lifecycle.

Develop and implement hardware maintenance schedules and procedures.

Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware with software systems.

Provide technical support and training to end-users on hardware-related issues.

Document all hardware configurations, maintenance activities, and repair procedures.

Stay updated with the latest hardware technologies and advancements.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Advanced degrees or certifications in hardware repair and maintenance (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator) are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in hardware engineering and maintenance.

Extensive experience in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues for a variety of IT equipment.

Proficient in managing hardware inventory and lifecycle.

Demonstrated experience in installing and configuring hardware components and systems.

Proven track record of developing and implementing hardware maintenance schedules and procedures.

Experience in providing technical support and training to end-users.

Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices.

Familiarity with the latest hardware technologies and advancements.
