Acting Minister of Finance Meets the Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan

.On Sep 26, 2021, the Acting Minister of Finance met with Ramiz Alakbarov, the Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan with the United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan.

In the meeting, various issues were discussed, including cooperation of the two sides how to provide humanitarian assistance. Ramiz Alakbarov acknowledged that our humanitarian assistance would continue to Afghanistan. At this period of time, our priorities and humanitarian assistance are in the field of health and nutrition which have been explored through the air as well as the ground.

Subsequently, Hedayatullah Badri, the Acting Minister of Finance, while appreciating the United Nations' continued assistance, called on them to continue their assistance and assured them of the cooperation of the Ministry of Finance in providing facilities and implementing this assistance.

The Acting Minister have also noted that if the crisis in Afghanistan intensifies, it will be detrimental not only to Afghanistan but to the whole world, the best example of which is the migration of Afghans to other countries. Therefore, our request is that instead of taking them out of Afghanistan, you help this country to improve the economic situation in this country and prevent the flight and migration of its citizens.

Mr. Alakbarov also stated that the whole world knows that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is not corrupt. Therefore, we are sure that there will be no corruption under your leadership. Finally, mutual views and visits in the future for further cooperation were discussed.
