Bakhtar Airline to be revived

The Afghan Government intends to revive Bakthar Afghan Airlines and put it into operation in domestic flights.
The aim of reviving this company is to establish a strong state-owned company that can both compete with private companies and be useful in providing air transport services.
Therefore, a meeting of the State Corporate Oversight Board was held to revive the Company. The meeting was chaired by H.E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President.
In the meeting, they discussed and made decision on Bakhtar Airline commercial plan, its marketing and branding, security plan, organizational structure and flight crew and recruiting and training them as well as its statue.
It’s worth mentioning that, Bakhtar Airlines will operate in domestic flights and for better management the AOC – operating certificate was granted to Bakhtar Airline.
