Ministry of Finance Celebrates Women International Solidarity Day

Ministry of Finance celebrated, 8 March, the Women International Solidarity Day during a ceremony in Khybar-Hall, Ministry of Finance.

In this ceremony, H.E. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President, Ms. Naheed Sarabi, Deputy Minister of Policy, Ms. Amina Ahmadi, Director General of Revenue, Mr. Mohammad Khan Danishjo, Director General of Admin at Ministry of Finance and some other official participated.

"The active role of women in the leadership and other levels of the Ministry of Finance reflects the fact that the ministry's leadership supports women's empowerment with full vigilance and commitment,” said Dr. Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance while congratulating the women solidarity day to them. “Recruitment of 715 female staff in the Ministry of Finance from Deputy Level to the other lower levels of the Ministry’s structure, given the situation of several years ago, is a significant and promising figure for all us,” he added.

"With all these improvements, our efforts to support women are not sufficient, and we have a strong will to raise the existing percentage at the administrative and technical levels and  within running effective program for women empowerment, making their role more visible in the offices, ” Acting Minister of Finance stated.

Ms. Naheed Sarabi, Deputy Minister of Policy, Ms. Amina Ahmadi, Director General of Revenue, Mr. Mohammad Khan Danishjo, Director General of Admin at Ministry of Finance and Kabul Mostofy provided information regarding women role in the Ministry of Finance, Women Capacity Building and their active presence in all MoF

departments while congratulating them the 8th March (women solidarity day)

At the end, the female staff who have shown competency and ability in their duties were awarded with letters of appreciation and others were awarded gifts
