Mr. Abdul Walid Tamim Introduced as Acting Deputy Minister for Customs and Revenue

Mr. Abdul Walid Tamim, until accepting his credential letter by India as ambassador of Afghanistan, has been appointed as Acting Deputy Minister of Finance for Customs and Revenue according to the presidential decree and Ministry of Finance proposal. H.E. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President, Introduced him today July 27, 2019.

“I express my gratitude to Mr. Abdullah Raqibi for his work in a sensitive time as former deputy minister of finance in customs and Revenue, he  honestly cooperated with the leadership of Ministry of Finance, meanwhile congratulated the  appointment of Mr. Abdul Walid Tamim in this post and ask him to put his  more efforts in  collecting domestic revenue,” said Acting Minister of Finance in the introduction ceremony.

Acting Minister of Finance instructed the staff of Ministry of Finance to fully cooperate with him.

Mr. Abdullah Reqibi, the former deputy minister of finance thanked the leadership of ministry of finance for placing his trust and stated that during his mission some reforms has been made and more should be done.

Mr. Abdul Walid Tamim, Acting Deputy Minister of Finance for Customs and Revenue expressed his gratitude to leadership of Ministry of Finance for placing his trust and reminded of his experiences in government and private sectors. Mr. Tamim said that he would honestly carry out his work. He emphasized that he will support his colleagues and asked them to work with him with full honesty.
