The Ministry of Finance has granted customs exemptions to all humanitarian aid organizations and NGOs.

Over the last fifteen months, humanitarian aid consignments granted customs exemption totaled 41306 cargos weighing 1,061,560 tons and having a customs value of 164 billion Afghanis.

The Ministry of Finance has lost 23.3 billion Afghanis in revenue as a result of exempting these goods.

Given the customs exemptions granted to international organizations and NGOs by the Ministry of Finance, it is clear that the latest SIGAR report on tax collection from aid organizations was incorrect.

The Ministry of Finance has established significant facilities in the field of humanitarian aid to international organizations and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) in Afghanistan, and it is committed to upholding its commitments to the aforementioned entities for a just transfer and distribution of their funds.
