Notice of General Directorate of Customs of MoF
Based on the proposal of the General Directorate of Customs of MoF and issuing order (۱۰۷۵/۱۴۴۵-۲-۲۶) of the Highness of Prime Ministership of IEA, with the intention of creating equivalent processing and more transparency in the country's customs, invoice in customs valuation will not be considered in all customs afterward.
Before this, only the goods that were imported to Afghanistan from the port of Karachi, Pakistan were not considered as invoices in determining the customs value. But commodities that were imported to Afghanistan from other countries were considered during customs procedures as at that time, the tax was calculated based on the principle of pricing of invoice or any system, which would increase the amount of customs duty and traders were not be able to compete in the market.
With the implementation of the order of the Highness of Prime Ministership, this problem will be solved and merely the system price will be taken into consideration in determining the customs value in all customs. In addition, all businessmen are obliged to have all foreign documents of their merchandises during the customs process of their goods as before.
It is worth mentioning that the GD of Customs endeavors to solve the existing problems of traders in all the customs offices of the country and get rid of the factors, which cause the loss of national revenues.
