Acting Minister of Finance Meets Assistant Chief of Mission of the U.S. Embassy in Kabul

In an introductory meeting today, H.E. Abdul Hadi Arghandiwal, the Acting Minister of Finance, congratulated Mr. Scott Weinhold, the newly appointed Assistant Chief of Mission at the U.S. Embassy in Kabul via a video conference on his new role.

In addition to discussion on several issues of mutual interest, the Acting Minister of Financeexpressed his appreciation for the United States assistance to Afghanistan, especially in in the fight against COVID-19.

Ambassador Weinhold on his part stated he ishopefulthatduring his mission in Afghanistan, relations between the two countries, and the two institutions will be further strengthened, and assured of continued US assistance to Afghanistan.
