The Acting Minister of Finance Visits Customs Departments of Torkham and Jalalabad and Nangarhar Mostofyat

On Feb 24, 2021, Mr. Mohammad Khalid Painda, the Acting Minister of Finance accompanied by MoF high ranking officials traveled to  Nanagarhar province and paid a visit to all Customs Departments of Torkham, Jalalabad and Mostofyat of the province.

In the visit, the officials of Nangarhar Customs Department and Mostofyat shared their problems and suggestions with the Acting Minister of Finance concerning development of Torkham Custom area to foster facilities for national traders and speed up the process of commercial shipments, expansion of the parking area of vehicles in Torkham Custom, keep the digital scales active, shortage of equipment in Nangarhar Custom, lack of Surveillance camerasin the entrance and exit gates of Torkham Custom as well as the low professional and technical capacity of Custom and Mostofya’s staff and low public awareness regarding tax-paying.
