Afghanistan and Georgia Signs 2 Memorandums of Understanding on Customs Modernization and Development

H.E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President, as head of a delegation visited Georgia dated July 15, 2019. During the tripe, along with the visit  of custom clearance procedures and traffic registration office, two memorandums of understandings have been signed on customs modernization and development and mutual cooperation on customs administration with Georgia.

The aim of signing above mentioned MoUs is modernization of border customs, development of Afghanistan customs infrastructure, implementation of modern and advanced system in the country, Georgia’s cooperation in the areas of standardization of customs procedures and coordination of customs procedures between the two countriesand Custom Academy were also the purpose of signing these MoUs.

It is worth mentioning that, the mentioned MoUs have been signed with the consideration of trade facilitation and customs control between Afghanistan and Georgia.
