E-Tax Services System Inaugurated to Facilitate the Taxpayers
The Directorate General of Revenue of Ministry of Finance inaugurated the e-tax services system in order to facilitate the process of tax clearance, voluntary obedience and increase domestic revenue today July 31, 2019 in inter-continental hotel- Kabul.
In this ceremony, Mr. Ismael Rahimi, Deputy Minister of Economy for Policy, Ms. Amina Ahmadi, Director General of Revenue, Mr. Khan Jan Alokozay, Deputy Chairman of ACCI, Mr. Sherbaz Kaminzada, head of chamber of mines and industries, Ms. Manizha Wafeq, head of Afghan women chamber of commerce and industry (AWCCI), Mr. Abdul Qadir Bahman, head of international chamber of commerce, Mr. Mohammad Hassan Sepahi, head of the National Association of Small Businesses, Eng. Jan Mohammad, head of SAWABAC and a number of taxpayers have been participated.
“Establishing e-tax services system is a great achievement and it can bring major changes in the Ministry of Finance’s departments,” said Ms. Amina Ahmadi while welcoming the participants. She requested representatives of private sector especially the taxpayers to cooperate with Ministry of Finance in this regards.
This initiative has been taken by Ministry of Finance to implement reforms, improve the situation of the private sector, tax clearance, prevent tax offences, and private sector declarations and can operate 24 hours,” said Ismael Rahimi, the Deputy Minister of Economy for Policy.
The representatives of chambers of commerce and the private sector, besides expressing their gratitude to the Directorate General of Revenue of MoF for taking this initiative, called it a great step toward providing facilities for delivering better services for the taxpayers and the private sector adding that Ministry of Finance has a close relation with private sector. Furthermore, they added that establishing e-tax services system will create transparency and strengthen the tax system
It is worth mentioning that, online declaration system has been approved by the cabinet in a meeting dated July 09, 2019 which will shorten the process of tax clearance, prevented overcrowding, filling the declaration online, accurate tax assessment, avoid corruption and waste of time for the taxpayers.
