Several media outlets and organizations have recently reported that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan appears to have banned the export of Afghan carpets.

The Ministry of Finance rejects this claim as unfounded.

The Ministry of Finance's General Directorate of Customs has provided additional facilities in the country's customs in order to support the export of domestic products, including Afghan traditional carpets, and has prioritized the provision of customs facilities.

The Ministry of Finance advises against publishing any report that is false and may confuse the public.
