MoF, Private Trading Company Ink Contract for Installation of 24 Scanners worth 7.9 bln Afs at 12 Customs as Prime Ministership Boosts Opportunities!

For the intention of signing the contract of this significant project, a meeting was held at GMIC (Govt. Media and Information Center), in which the Deputy for Financial Affairs of Prime Ministership, H.E Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar, Deputy Ministers of Finance and Policy Affairs of MoF, General Director of AOP and officials of Zubair Muswer Private Trading Company have participated.
This Important project contract for the installation of 24 modern scanners and 33 small scanners for air cargo at 12 customs of Afghanistan was signed according to the principles of public and private partnership on behalf of Hon. Haji Abdul Qadir Ahmed, Deputy Minister for Financial Affairs of Mof and Zubair Musawer Private Trading Company.
This project will be implemented at 12 customs offices of Afghanistan, where two scanners will be installed at each customs office, one for import and another for exporting affairs.
The total value of this project is 7.9 billion Afs, which the construction working process will be completed within two years and 2,000 employees will be directly and indirectly hired for such sort of job opportunity.
MoF assures that with the implementation of this project, there will be a significant increase in customs revenues, and there will be more transparency, speed, security and crucial convenience for businessmen and investors in related matters as well.
