Pacha Khan International University Establishment Commission held eighth meeting

On February 17, 2020 the Pacha Khan International University EstablishmentCommission held its eighth meeting at the Ministry of Finance. The meeting was led by H.E. Prof. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure to H.E. the President

The Commission discussed H.E. the President’s decree about establishing Pacha Khan International University; the university statute; confirming 3000 jereeb (hector) land for the university; and building the university infrastructure according to national and international standards. The members expressed their willingness to cooperate on all sides.

The Commission decided that the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Higher Education, and the Administrative Office of the President prepare a Hokm (decree) and present it to the President for approval.

The Pacha Khan International University will be built in Khost province. It will have fourteen departments, and one hundred academic majors of study. Initially, it will deliver only undergraduate degrees. Gradually, it will have graduate and PhD level students too. National and international professors will teach in this university.
