Senior Network Specialist

Introduction:

Directorate of Information Communication Technology at Ministry of Finance mainly focusing in the area providing data and voice services for MoF operations using highly-equipped data center, unified transmission system, and interconnected links via fiber and microwaves.

Directorate of ICT is providing reliable and secure platform for overall data and voice connectivity and access to MoF core application services in MoF HQs and sites.

Job Summary:

The Senior Network Specialist will be required to design, implement, maintain, and support the growing network infrastructure. The senior network specialist will be required to handle the data center and virtualization operations in the current network infrastructure. The senior network specialist is required to have a great practical approach in the configuration of LAN, MAN, and WAN networks using different sets of technologies.

Duties and Responsibilities:

To assist in developing ICT department’s operational and strategic planning, including fostering innovation, designing and implementing ICT projects.

To manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, up gradation and support of all IT systems including Unified Voice, network, security and Network management system.

To ensure security of the corporate MoF network and applications.

Write technical proposals for ICT Infrastructure projects for Network, IP Telephony, Network Security and Surveillance Systems.

Responsible for the designing, implementation and maintenance of four phases of ICT infrastructure network for the Ministry of Finance.

To Document all the incidents and problems by using a proper reporting system of PMIS.

To develop a proper risk analysis plan to identity and prevent risks during ICT infrastructure project.

To Develop and implement all IT policies and procedures, including those for architecture, security, disaster recover, backup, standards, purchasing and service provision.

Assist in the preparation of presentations, administrative reports.

Job Requirements:

BS|MS Degree from any recognized university in the field of computer science, telecommunication, information technology, engineering, and any other relevant field.

CCNA R&S, CCNP R&S, and CCNA Security are compulsory.

CCDA, CCNA Data Center and Cisco NCORE will be given higher priority.

Minimum level of voice and wireless knowledge will be preferred.

7-5 years of experience in the area of cisco network engineering.

Engineers the technical solutions to requirements based on infrastructure design.

Build and maintain Core Network components.

Set up processes and tools to manage Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Wireless, and Circuits.

Expertise with MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPN (IPSEC, SSL VPN) PRI, SIP, fiber, QoS

In depth knowledge of Data Center network technology, VMware Virtualization and network load balancing.

Ability to create back up strategies for the data and recovery plan for the network.

Experience in managing security appliances (Palo Alto, Juniper/Pulse Secure preferred)

Minimum expertise with wireless or radio technologies.

Experience with security vulnerability investigation and remediation.

Analyze traffic behaviors to great extent and find out the issues and solve it.

Develop and run scripts for configuration.

Schema planning and updates.

Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures and standards.

Implementation and configuration of Cisco CUCM, H.323, SIP and MGCP protocols, Cisco Gateways and Gatekeepers, SUN storage system will be considered more preferable.
