UN Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan Meets Minister of Finance

Roza Otunbayeva, the UN Secretary-Special General's Representative for Afghanistan and Head of UNAMA, met with Minister Of finance Alhaj Mullah Hedayatulla Badri.
During the meeting, the Minister of Finance thanked the United Nations for its humanitarian assistance and welcomed Ms. Otunbayeva. While demanding that humanitarian aid be provided in collaboration with government agencies, emphasized the importance of providing Afghanistan with development assistance in addition to humanitarian aid.
Alhaj Mullah Hedayatullah Badri also stated that all business in the Ministry of Finance is conducted in an ethical and open way, and that all revenue is collected transparently through the system.
Ms. Roza Otunbayeva praised the Ministry of Finance's leadership for maintaining Afghanistan's economic stability and preparing the national budget..
