Acting Minister of Finance and Kazakh Ambassador to Afghanistan Discuss Strengthening Economic and Trade Cooperation ties

H.E. Dr. Mohammad Humayon Qayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastruture to H.E. the President, met with Mr. Mr. Alimkhan Yessengeldiyev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Afghanistan.

In the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening mutual economic and trade ties,
provisions of the 10th protocol of economic and trade commission meeting between the two countries and construction of the fourth section of Khawaf- Herat railway by Afghan- Kazakh companies.

In addition, they talked about mutual customs cooperation and exchange of customs information agreements, Kazakh traders’ investment on energy projects and other like issues.

Kazakh side promised to finalize the draft of customs cooperation and exchange of customs information agreements to be signed by the parties.
