Acting Minister of Finance Meets Non-Resident Ambassador of Kuwait to Afghanistan

On March 10, 2020 H.E. Prof. Mohammad HumayonQayoumi, Acting Minister of Finance and Chief Advisor on Infrastructure Affairs to H.E. the President, had a complementary meeting with the non-resident ambassador of Kuwait to Afghanistan.

In the meeting, the non-resident ambassador of Kuwait to Afghanistan expressed his gratitude for being invited to the President’sinauguration ceremony, recalling the historic relation between the two countries.Kuwaiti non-resident ambassador said his country wants a progressive Afghanistan. Afghans have played a positive role in the development of Kuwait; people and the government of Kuwait appreciate their contribution.

The Acting Minister of Finance thanked Kuwait Development Fund for providing assistance to Afghanistan, and prompted of the good relations between the two countries. He called for expansion of reciprocal relations, especially in the areas of exporting agriculture products and mines to Kuwait.

The non-resident ambassador of Kuwait said that his country has a good relationship with Uzbekistan; and hopes it turns to a trilateral relationship between Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kuwait. He also invited the Acting Minister of Finance to visit Kuwait.

The Acting Minister of Finance stated that he will visit Kuwait in time.Meanwhile he emphasized on strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
