Contract to Purchase Machinery for Gulbahar Textile Factory signed

Based on a MOU signed earlier between Afghanistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. AimaSarwari, Director General of State-Owned Enterprises and Companies and Mr. ShafiqullahShahrani signed a contract to revive the Gulbahar Textile & Sewing Company.

It is scheduled to install and montage the machinery in the next three months. The Gulbahar Textile sewing department will begin its work after a long hiatus (1357) and provide employment opportunities to 600 people in three shifts.

It is worth mentioning that the technical MOU was signed between Afghanistan and Uzbekistan on March 2019 to revive and reconstruct the textile and cotton seed enterprises. The contract included a plan to purchase sewing machineries for the Gulbahar Textile Factory.To implement the plan, an operation has been carried out in accordance with this Memorandum of Understanding.
