Ministry of Finance Provides Information about Taxpaying for 20,000 Shopkeepers and Other Taxpayers in Tax Week Campaign

General Revenue Department of Ministry of Finance Held the Tax Week Campaign Closing program in Intercontinental Hotel today.

Ms. Amina Ahmadi, Director General of Revenue, directors, representatives of private sectors and a number of taxpayers participated in the event.
"With the cooperation of the private sector, we managed to organize various tax campaigns, through which 20000 shopkeepers and other taxpayers were provided information about taxpaying,” said Ms. Amina Ahmadi, DG of Revenue Department - Ministry of Finance. “We are working with the private sector to promote the taxpaying culture through increasing the number of these programs,” she added.   

MMr. Khan Jan Alokozay, Deputy Chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Shir Baz Kaminzada, Chairman of Chamber of Industries and Mines, Mr. Abdullah Fushanji, Chairman of the Union of Investors Unified to Development, Yunus Mohmand, deputy chairman of Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Mr. Ghulam Haider Jafari, Head of the Union of Private Schools, Mr. Najibullah Amiri,, Executive Director of Afghanistan Banks Association who have also participated in the event, welcomed the tax week program and called its achievemnts remarkable. While expressing the usefulness of the program, they also shared their comments and suggestions to be handled.

It is worth mentioning that, Ministry of Finance has ran 160 awareness programs and seminars in which 15000 representatives of private sectors, unions and traders were provided information about tax, 81000 advertising items were distributed to promote taxpaying culture, 1000 banners were installed in different areas of the country and 25 sports competitions were held.
