Ministry of Finance and the Asian Development Bank Agrees on the Bank’s Three-Year Operational Plan for Afghanistan

H.E. Abdul HadiArghandiwal, Acting Minister of Finance met withMr.Narendra Singru, Asian Development Bank Director for Afghanistan through a video conference on August 15, 2020.

Mr. Abdul Habib Zadran, Deputy Minister of Finance also attended this importance for Afghanistan; inclusion of the national priority projects in natural resources, transport and energy sectors into the plan and other related issues. The Acting Minister of Finance and ADB Director for Afghanistan meeting. The parties discussed ADB’sthree-year operational plan and its signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard.

The Acting Minister of Finance expressed his gratitude to the ADB Director for investing in Afghanistan’s infrastructure sector and asked for this assistance to continue.

It is worth mentioning that ADB’s three-year operational plan for the years 2021-2023 will be funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the ASEAN Infrastructure Fund.
