Acting Finance Discusses Budget Issues with Paktia Governor

On September 03, 2020, H.E. Abdul Hadi, Arghandiwal, Acting Finance Minister of met with Mr. Mohammad Halim Fadai, Governor of Paktia.

Governor of Paktia spoke about budget issues of school construction through EQRA project, construction of a 200 bed hospital, road constructionfrom Sayed Karam to Tashlaq and Zurmat districts, allocation of funds for project maintenance, and vacant positions in the province. He askedActing Finance Ministerfor cooperation in the mentioned issues.

The Acting Finance Minister said that in the current fiscal year, the government focused on curbing COVID-19 pandemic, and its economic and social consequences; however, we are trying to address the budget problems of provinces with regard to available financial resources.

The Acting Finance Minister further stated that the Ministry of Finance intends to announce all its relevant vacancies and non-competitive positions by the end of the current fiscal year in order to recruit committed and qualified staff through an open competition. He assured the Governor of Paktia that vacancies in the provinces will be given priority.
