About Ministry of Finance:

The overall mandate of MFPD is to provide policy advice and strategic support for the management of the economy and public finances through formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of sound macroeconomic and fiscal policies and programs in Afghanistan. MFPD shoulders a very important responsibility of supporting the Ministry of Finance to fulfill its objectives of Afghanistan’s fiscal management as outlined in the Public Financial Management Law of Afghanistan.

Job Description:

The Reporting and Relation Specialist is responsible for reporting and coordinating activities implemented by the MFPD General Directorate and maintaining communication with all stakeholders and producing reports required by MFPD as directed by DG.

Reporting:

The Reporting and Relation Specialist is supervised by the MFPD General Director and will supervise no staff.

Job Requirements:

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordination with the Minister’s and Deputy Minister’s offices for performing and tracking the Prime Minister’s, Cabinet and Ministers Council’s orders;
  • Prepares quarterly and annual reports of all tasks done by the MFPD for the Minister and Deputy Minister for Finance;
  • Cooperates in preparing the monthly, quarterly and annual revenue and expenditure reports;
  • Cooperates in preparing the Fiscal Strategy Paper and other economic and fiscal policies;
  • Prepares and review all types of letters, proposals and economic reports  going to the Ministry leadership;
  • Keeps records of all official letters, proposals and track them with respective units;
  • Prepares brief notes on different events and meetings as required by the MFPD management;
  • Provides required customer relation with LMs employees;
  • Arranges meetings and taking notes for MFPD management;
  • Performs administrative duties as required by DG MFPD.

  • Effective coordination and cross-functional collaboration.

  • Producing quality reports;
  • Timely and effective coordination with all internal and external units.

Education and Experience:

  • University degree (Bachelor or Master) preferably in Public Administration, Economy, Business Administration, Law, Public Relations or other relevant field;
  • A combination of a Bachelor’s degree with an additional two years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree;
  • A Minimum of three years of experience being responsible for either relations management or reporting with specific content of public financial related activities;
  • Computer proficiency (MS/Office, outlook, and internet knowledge).

Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent written and spoken Dari and Pashto
  • Excellent written and spoken English
