Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Security Expert specializing in Palo Alto technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing advanced network security solutions to protect our organization's information assets. This role involves working closely with IT and business teams to ensure the highest levels of security and compliance.
Job Requirements:
Design and Implementation:
Develop and implement network security solutions using Palo Alto firewalls and related technologies.
Design secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and cloud environments.
Configure and deploy Palo Alto firewalls, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Security Management:
Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents and alerts.
Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
Implement and manage security policies, procedures, and best practices.
Collaboration and Support:
Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address security risks.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior cyber security staff.
Collaborate with third-party vendors and service providers.
Compliance and Reporting:
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, NIST, GDPR).
Prepare and present security reports to management and stakeholders.
Maintain accurate documentation of security configurations and incidents.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies.
Participate in professional development opportunities and training.
Propose and implement improvements to enhance the overall security posture.
Education:
Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
Relevant certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network security, with a focus on Palo Alto technologies.
Proven experience in designing and implementing secure network architectures.
Strong knowledge of firewall management, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network security protocols.
Skills:
In-depth understanding of Palo Alto firewalls and security features.
Proficiency in network security tools and technologies.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Knowledge of scripting and automation (Python, PowerShell).
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (NIST, ISO 27001).
Experience in a leadership or mentorship role.
